WITH several Celtic talents plying their trade away from Parkhead this season, we take a look at how they fared over the weekend.

Scottish Cup

Ryan Christie (Aberdeen)

Aberdeen cruised into the fifth round of the Scottish Cup with a 4-1 win over Championship leaders St Mirren on Saturday.

Christie got on the scoresheet twice in the first half, latching onto a Gary Mackay-Steven pullback to finish from close range before rising at the back post to nod in the Dons’ third before the break as they set up a last 16 tie against Dundee United.Glasgow Times:

Scott Allan (Dundee)

Allan started as Dundee hosted Inverness in the cup and the midfielder was the hub of several Dee attacks. He set up chances two chances each for Sofien Moussa and AJ Leitch-Smith but Neil McCann’s side were forced into a replay thanks to a late equaliser from Caley’s George Oakley.

Nadir Ciftci (Motherwell)

Ciftci made his ‘Well debut in the 2-0 Scottish Cup win over Lanarkshire rivals Hamilton Accies on Saturday, going into Stephen Robinson’s side from the start. He lasted 66 minutes before being replaced by Gael Bigirimana, but the manager was encouraged by what he saw.

He said: “Ciftci and (Curtis) Main gave us that wee bit extra quality that we've lacked in recent weeks. (He) will get fitter and fitter, and we got a good 60 minutes out of him.”

Jamie Lindsay (Ross County)

Lindsay started at the heart of midfield for the Staggies as they looked to end their long winless run in Kilmarnock, but he was forced off with injury after just nine minutes.

His replacement, Tim Chow, was sent off on the 88th minute after giving away a penalty that Lee Erwin converted to send Killie through and extend the Highlanders’ wait for a victory to 10 games.Glasgow Times:

Sam Wardrop (Dumbarton)

Dumbarton’s fourth round tie away to Peterhead was postponed due to the cold weather and will now be played on Tuesday 23 January instead.

Lewis Morgan (St Mirren)

Morgan was on the wrong end of a 4-1 drubbing at Pittodrie as Saints went down to Aberdeen in the cup. The winger set up a chance for Kyle Magennis early on and then earned an assist of sorts when his shot was parried by Joe Lewis into the path of Gavin Reilly, who volleyed in from close range.

Joe Thomson (Queen of the South)

Thomson played a full 90 minutes for Queens as they fell to a 2-1 defeat at home to Partick Thistle courtesy of a Conor Sammon double.

Scottish League One

Regan Hendry (Raith Rovers)

Hendry failed to make an appearance from the bench as Rovers went down to a 1-0 defeat away to Stranraer. However, the Stark’s Park outfit remain on top of the League One table with a game in hand over second-placed Ayr United.

English League One

Kundai Benyu (Oldham)

In his second appearance for Oldham, Benyu started as they fell to a 3-0 defeat away to Peterborough. The midfielder lasted 61 minutes before being replaced as his new side fell to 22nd place in the table.
