A Glasgow rock band is set to host several concerts across Scotland - and they have teased new music.

Glasvegas has announced they will be playing several shows across the country and one in Carlisle this year.

As part of the concerts, they will perform at Troon Concert Hall on October 11, Airdrie Town Hall on October 12, P.J Molloys in Dunfermline on October 19, Lemon Tree in Aberdeen on October 25, Church in Dundee on November 1, and The Brickyard in Carlisle on November 2.

The Scots band is made up of James Allan, Rab Allan, and Paul Donoghue.

The collective - which was formed in Glasgow in 2003 - is known for its 'unique sound and powerful lyrical content'.

They are known for their hits including Geraldine, Daddy's Gone, The World Is Yours, Flowers & Football Tops, and many more.

As part of the announcement, the group have also teased some new music.

Announcing the shows, Glasvegas said: "Dear Scotland (and Carlisle)!

"We will be doing the rounds this autumn - Troon, Airdrie, Dunfermline, Aberdeen, Dundee and Carlisle - and hope to see you there for some rock’n’roll!

"Tickets will go on general sale this Friday (April 19).

"However, if you’re signed up to our mailing list you’ll get access to the pre-sale which goes live tomorrow at 10am.

"Can’t wait to see you there. 

"We might have some new music to play for you."

Fans of the group were left buzzing by the news.

One said: "We shall be at the Troon gig - super excited."

Another added: "Whoop whoop."

While a third chimed: "Amazing!"
