On behalf of Transport Scotland, Amey will be undertaking essential resurfacing work on the M8 eastbound carriageway at Junction 11 to the Queenslie footbridge, including the Junction 11 off-slip, from Saturday, March 2 until Sunday, March 10.

The work will be carried out in two phases using overnight road closures.

Phase one of the work will occur between Saturday, March 2 and Tuesday, March 5.

As part of it, the Junction 11 eastbound off-slip will be shut between 8pm on Saturday, March 2 and 6am on Monday, March 4.

Overnight closures will also be in place on the Junction 11 on-slip between 8pm and 6am each night from Saturday, March 2 until Monday, March 4.

There will also be overnight lane closures on the eastbound carriage between Junctions 11 and 12 from Saturday, March 2 until Monday, March 4.

On top of that, a daytime lane closure on the eastbound carriageway between Junction 11 off and on-slip will be in place between 6am and 12pm on Sunday, March 3.

Following that, phase two of the work will take place between Tuesday, March 5 and Sunday, March 10, between 8pm and 6am each night.

As part of the second phase, there will be a lane closure with traffic using the hard shoulder on the Junction 11 eastbound on-slip road between 8pm on Wednesday, March 6 and 6am on Thursday, March 7.

Then, the Junction 11 eastbound on-slip road will be shut between 8pm on Saturday, March 9 and 6am on Sunday, March 10.

A spokesperson for Amey said: "Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

"Eastbound through traffic should consider using the M74/M73 corridor to avoid both sets of works."
