ScotRail has warned some Glasgow trains could be cancelled due to severe weather.
Network Rail has said speed restrictions have been placed on different routes across the country - including some Glasgow lines
Following this, ScotRail has said services may be subject to delays, alterations, or cancellations.
Routes that are affected by the restrictions include:
- Glasgow to Carlisle via Kilmarnock/Dumfries
- Wemyss Bay
- West Highland
- Far North & Kyle lines
- Inverness to Perth
- Inverness to Aberdeen
We previously reported yesterday that some services to and from Glasgow Queen Street and Oban and Mallaig could be delayed, revised, or cancelled on February 4 and February 5 due to severe weather as well.
A spokesperson for Network Rail said: "Due to extreme rainfall, we're limiting train speeds on the Wemyss Bay, West Highland, Far North & Kyle lines, as well as the Inverness to Perth, Inverness to Aberdeen, and Glasgow to Carlisle via Kilmarnock to Dumfries routes."

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for ScotRail added: "Due to various speed restrictions being implemented from 7pm, Sunday, February 4, until 12pm Tuesday, February 6, services will be subject to delays, alterations, or cancellations.
