A MAN has been fined after allegedly being caught driving a 'death trap' van on a busy Glasgow motorway.
Officers say the 48-year-old road user was allegedly spotted driving the vehicle on the M8 at Hillington.
Following that, cops say they stopped the driver before he 'impaled a car or a pedestrian'.
The man was issued with a fine for the dangerous use of a motor vehicle.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "The 48-year-old male driver of this van thought it was a good idea to take the death trap onto the M8 at Hillington.
"Glasgow Road Policing thankfully stopped him before he impaled a car or pedestrian.
"Driver issued FPN for dangerous use of a vehicle and the vehicle prohibited."
