One of Glasgow's most popular pubs could be set for a big transformation.
Pub giant JD Wetherspoon has applied for permission to make a number of changes to one of its city centre venues, The Counting House on St Vincent Place.
Plans include adding two new straightened sections to the front main bar, new mirrors, removing the back bar and replacing it with a new washroom.
The pub has a rich architectural history and was built in the mid-19th century in an Italian Renaissance style.
It was used as a bank, lending to the choice of pub name today, and still maintains original features such as its glass dome roof and downstairs vaults.
Glasgow City Council is still considering the plans which can be viewed here.
It comes after we reported that nearby Wetherspoons pub The Sir John Moore had reopened following a £1.4 million refurbishment.
The company developed two former shop units to create a larger area for customers to enjoy, the bar area has been upgraded and new toilets have been installed.
