A driver allegedly going 100mph in Glasgow's city centre was stopped by police last night.
The man was pulled over on the M8, in the 50 mph section of the motorway.
According to the force, the driver initially failed to stop and then later tried to run from officers.
He was arrested and charged in connection with dangerous driving and attempting to pervert the course of justice.
Road Policing Scotland said on Twitter: "Glasgow Road Policing spotted this car driving at over 100mph in the 50mph city centre section of the M8 last night.
"The driver initially failed to stop.
"But quickly changed tack trying his luck on foot. However, our officers were faster."
