A person was rushed to hospital following a two car crash on the M8 motorway at Kingston Bridge.
A driver was arrested for an alleged road traffic offence following the collision.
999 crews raced to the scene around 5pm on Monday following reports of the crash.
We previously reported that the rush hour incident sparked gridlock for motorists and traffic was restricted westbound following the incident.
The condition of the person in the hospital is unknown.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.25pm on Monday, August 7, we were made aware of a two car crash on the M8, Kingston Bridge, Glasgow.
“One person has been taken to hospital and one person has been arrested in connection with a road traffic offence.”
