A crash near the city centre has caused gridlock.
The collision at the M8 Kingston Bridge was first reported around 5.30pm on Monday evening.
Traffic Scotland issued a warning to drivers in the wake of the incident.
A spokesperson said: "M8 Kingston Bridge westbound is restricted due to a collision.
"Approach with care, traffic is heavy in the area."

It comes as an extensive number of road closures are in place amid the UCI Cycling World Championships.

It is not known if anyone was injured amid the crash at this time.
Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
