THE world’s leading true crime event is returning to Glasgow with an impressive line-up of experts.
CrimeCon takes on April 27 at the Hilton Hotel, and true crime enthusiasts, survivors, criminologists, authors, podcasters, and law enforcement will share their stories.
Attendees will have the experience of stepping into the shoes of sleuths and participating in analysing a crime scene thanks to a new partnership between CrimeCon UK and Think Forensic.
The interactive CSI experience comes following the huge hit from the Las Vegas and London CrimeCon events.
The one-day programme, which is expected to include content from documentary makers and investigative journalists, is held in association with True Crime, a factual entertainment channel and true crime destination.
Nancy Baughen, event director of CrimeCon UK, said: "CrimeCon Glasgow is a key event on the CrimeCon UK calendar now.
"We are bringing the most comprehensive and compelling true crime event in the UK back to Glasgow to our engaged and incredibly empathetic supporters.”
The conference offers people a chance to also participate in Cold Tapes, a hybrid podcast and murder mystery game.
Attendees are challenged to solve a case for a chance to win £10,000 and earn the title of Super Sleuth of the Year.
Guest speakers at this year's CrimeCon Glasgow include Dr Richard Shepherd (above), a leading forensic pathologist, Kerry Daynes, a bestselling author and forensic psychologist, and Penny Farmer (below), a freelance journalist and PR consultant who will be talking about her 40-year search for her brother's killer as documented in her book Dead in the Water.
