Canal path in Firhill closed off after teenage girl assaulted in early hours of Boxing Day
A TEENAGE girl has been assaulted near a canal at Firhill stadium.
Police have closed off the path at the canal as they investigate the assault.
No further details were provided by the force on the circumstances surrounding the assault which happened at around 5 am on Boxing Day.
The force also did not provide the age of the victim.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Police are carrying out an investigation following a report that a teenage girl was assaulted near the canal at Firhill, Glasgow, around 5 am this morning Thursday, 26 December 26.
"Enquiries are ongoing and officers are following a definite line of enquiry."
