A MAN is due in court following an alleged sex attack in Rutherglen.
The 32-year-old was arrested and charged after the incident in the early house of Christmas Eve.
It comes after police were called to a report of an elderly woman having been the subject of a sexual assault within her home in Coldstream Drive.
The victim was treated for injuries but not detained in hospital.
An investigation was launched and following enquiries, officers arrested a 32-year-old man in connection with the incident.
He is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Friday and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
