TRANSPORT cops have released CCTV images of a man they wish to speak to after an assault onboard a train to Glasgow Central.
The incident happened shortly after 10:20 am on Thursday, October 24 as the train travelled between Ayr and Glasgow Central.
The victim sustained injuries to his face which required hospital treatment.
The man is described as around 6ft, 40 to 45 years old with a shaved head.
He was wearing a dark beanie hat, a camouflage jacket, denim jeans, and light brown boots.
He was carrying an army-style Bergen rucksack and possibly carrying a fishing rod. He has been seen at Glengarnock station and at Paisley Gilmour Street station.
Anyone who recognises the man, or who has more information about the incident, is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference number 397 of 17/12/19
