Mary Queen of Scots actor Jack Lowdown says he didn’t teach Irish actress Saoirse Ronan how to speak with a Scottish accent for the film.

He joked: “I don’t think she would have appreciated that.”

Jack who was on the red carpet at Edinburgh Castle and the city’s Cameo Picturehouse plays Saoirse lover in the film. Ironically he plays an Englishman but said he reckons he looks more English than Scottish despite his red hair.

I spoke to Jack at the Scottish Baftas recently and he said he grew up on musicals so we can expect him to make more sweet music in the future.

Disney’s Lost in Paris star Christy O Donnell was left stranded after all his belongings were lost during a trip to Bergen.

The singer turned actor from Glasgow was on his way back to the U.K. from the airport when he left his suitcase on the train.

He said: “l lost my suitcase, my wee case with everything in it on the train.”

Christy ended up having to go to Tesco during a stopover to his next destination in the isle of Whyte.

He said: “I’ve lost everything I had- and even had to buy a new jacket. I hope I don’t lose anything else like my dignity. I’ve been in such a high lately that maybe the universe was trying to balance things.”

Drag Queen extraordinaire Reba Martel was floating around Glasgow yesterday in a lavish gown.

The winner of Scotland’s Best Drag Queen has been working on a one women show for the Comedy Festival on March on Wicked Lounge.

The talented Glaswegian who recently starred in the Dolls Dragged Up is also working on a very secret project which will see her fame rise within the next few months. I’ve been sworn to secrecy but watch this space.
