Following a thorough investigation, police said Mr Hassan had been subjected to an 'extremely violent assault'.

His partner Samantha Callaghan posted an emotional tribute to him on Facebook, two years after she discoverd she was pregnant with their child.

Glasgow Times:

She said: "On this day 2 years ago, you were sat holding my hand on your living room couch while I was crying tears of pure happiness looking at a positive pregnancy test finding out we were having a baby together.

"Today.. I am holding our little girls hand crying that she'll never see your face or hear your voice again.

"I am heartbroken that you won't be here to see her grow up. You were my best friend and you were always there when Kaci and I needed you, we could tell each other everything and anything.

"We had brilliant/crazy times together and the bond we had as parents was out of this world & I'm so thankful for the memories we've had together with our daughter.

Glasgow Times:

"She is only 16 months, but I will tell Kaci all about her dad everyday, and make sure she knows how much you loved your 'wee princess'.

"The kids will all have an unbreakable bond. I am absolutely gutted you're gone. Sleep tight chunk, you certainly won't be forgotten. Thank you for giving me our perfect little girl, for that. I'll love you always & there will always be part of you here. We will both miss you like mad. Rest in Peace Owen Hassan x."

Officers are continuining with their investigation into the brutal murder.

Anyone who may be able to assist police with their investigation into Mr Hassan's death is urged to call 101 immediately.
