Revealed: Glasgow named among funniest cities in the UK - what’re your best jokes?
GLASGOW has been named among the funnest cities in the UK.
Scotland’s biggest (and best) city took the number five spot in a new poll carried out by Comedy Central Live.
Edinburgh took sixth place.
The top ten funniest cities in the UK:
- Liverpool, 23 percent
- Newcastle, 14 percent
- London, 12 percent
- Manchester, 10 percent
- Glasgow, 10 percent
- Edinburgh, 4 percent
- Bristol, 3 percent
- Birmingham, 3 percent
- Belfast, 3 percent
- Brighton, 2 percent
The study also shed light on the type of humour most beloved by the people of Glasgow.
Glasgow came top of the list for dirty humour, winning with 12.3% of votes, just squeaking in ahead of Newcastle (12.1%), Liverpool following in third (11.7%) and Manchester fourth (10.8%).
Edinburgh featured in ninth place (2.8%).
