ANDY HALLIDAY deserves immense credit for the way he has turned around his Rangers career.
I thought he was brilliant against Villarreal and showed that he can be a really important player for the club. What a story it is.
Unless you are a young player going out of a club to gain experience, then a loan spell normally signifies that your time is up.
Undoubtedly it would have been a massive blow to him being sent to Azerbaijan, but the way he has applied himself to work his way back into the fold under Steven Gerrard is really impressive.
He is a huge Rangers man of course, but that doesn’t matter a jot. There is no room for sentiment in football, particularly at a club the size of Rangers, and every player must show that he deserves his place there.
Andy is doing just that.
