ITEMS donated by celebrities including Megan McKenna and Rebekah Vardy will be on sale at a charity night in Glasgow.

Marie Curie's ladies’ evening designer sale will take place on Thursday in partnership with Buchanan Galleries.

The Designer Room at G12, Marie Curie’s label charity store situated in Glasgow’s West End, will be hosting its annual ladies evening where customers can pick up everything from Mulberry handbags to Prada dresses.

Glasgow Times:

The buys of the night, which will run from 6pm to 8pm, are set to be the special celebrity items donated as part of Buchanan Galleries #FrockDrop event, the Glasgow shopping centre’s spring campaign held in aid of the charity.

Supported by a number of high profile personalities including The First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, Rebekah Vardy, Megan McKenna and Amy Macdonald, the designer pieces from Buchanan Galleries #FrockDrop will all be available to buy on the night.

The star item for the evening will be a gown, worn by Rebekah Vardy to the 2016 annual Asian Awards held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, with shoppers advised to arrive early to be in with a chance of buying the gorgeous sleeveless evening dress.

Fashion fans will also be able to get their hands on a bright pink cropped suit jacket from the First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, a black tulle Guess dress from Tallia Storm, an animal print top from Megan McKenna, plus a velvet embellished dress from Amy Macdonald.

All items sold on the night will raise much needed funds to help make a difference to people living with terminal illness and their families throughout Scotland.

Kathy Murdoch, Buchanan Galleries Centre Manager, said: “The response to our #FrockDrop initiative was once again outstanding, from both the public and celebrities alike. We hope the clothing donations go on to raise a lot of money and I’d urge our customers to support the Marie Curie Ladies Evening sale and drop by The Designer Room at G12 to pick up a designer fashion bargain.”

Janice McPherson, Retail Divisional Manager, for Marie Curie, added: “Our annual ladies evening sale is always a big hit with those keen to grab high-end, high quality designer labels at charity shop prices. With the introduction this year of some fabulous pieces from celebrities across the UK, we hope to support more terminally ill people and their families throughout Scotland.”
