GLASGOW’S motorway network is seeing congestion during Tuesday’s morning rush-hour.

Traffic has been queuing on the M77 Glasgow-bound, from junction 4 J4 Crookfur Road to junction Barrhead Road.

The M8 is also seeing heavy traffic; eastbound from junction 28 at Glasgow Airport to junction 27 Arkleston and also junction 24 Helen Street to junction 19 Anderston.

The M8 westbound is seeing congestion westbound from junction 12 Riddrie to junction 16 Craighall.

Lane 2 was closed on the M80 northbound at junction 5 Auchenkilns due to a three-vehicle road traffic accident. Police were on scene and traffic was queuing on approach.

Since cleared, traffic was still heavy on approach but Traffic Scotland anticipated this would "ease soon."

One lane is closed eastbound on the M8 as of 8am close to Glasgow Airport due to an accident.

The carriageway on the M8 eastbound around Erskine Bridge was blocked due to a vehicle fire. The fire service was at the scene and traffic was queuing.

Just before 9am, one lane re-opened while another remained closed as traffic backed out onto the bridge.

There was also a second crash near Glasgow Airport which was later cleared.

There was also a broken down vehicle at the Clydeside Expressway just before 10am. While traffic was said to be "coping well," drivers were being urged to be aware.
