THIS monster pothole cost our reader more than £350.

Driver Gordon Burnett came to blows with the crater in Glasgow City Centre and ended up stumping up £354.

He let the Evening Times know about the damage as part of our #spothole campaign.

Gordon's submission is exactly what we're looking for in our quest to find Glasgow's worst pothole.

And from you've told us so far there is plenty of competition.

We have seen potholes in the north, south, east and west of the city as well as the City Centre.

The Evening Times wants readers to send in photos of the worst roads with an item for scale, just as Gordon has done in these photographs he shared on Twitter.

Gordon tweeted the pictures with the words: "I hit this one on the corner of Renfrew Street and Hope Street on the 30th of December.

"Cost me a tyre and a pair of front shocks.

"Claim pending. #spothole"

He also told the Evening Times the pothole had caused damage to the shock absorbers on his car.

The impact broke the spring seat and a new pair of shocks plus a new tyre cost him £354.

He caught the impact on his dashcam and has put in a claim to Glasgow City Council.

Like Gordon, if you have to claim for pothole repairs you can do so on the Glasgow City Council website at the link: www.glasgow.gov.uk/index.aspx?articleid=18680

Paul Love has also been in touch to tell us about a stretch of road in Darnley - Nitshill Road between Darnley Mains Road and Parkhouse Road.

He said: "Both lanes are in extremely poor condition for a main road which is busy day and night.

"here must be at least 10 separate areas which need to be avoided.

"Some sections must be the length of two Evening Times Newspapers, but it is the depth of some of them.

"Cars either swerve about trying to avoid them, or you see cars crashing through them because the drivers do not know they are there and do not see them because the traffic is so heavy.

"I use the route about four to five times a week, travelling from Ayr to Barrhead. I have emailed the Glasgow City Council on a number of occasions, but still no action."

E-mail your pothole to news@eveningtimes.co.uk, or tweet it using the hashtag #spothole.

Give us your name, the location of the pothole, its size and tell us how long it's been there.

The pothole we deem to be the most dangerous based on size, location and length of time left unresolved will win a prize of new tyres worth up to £1000.

We will print your name with your picture.
