UPDATE: Around 7pm, police confirmed that the road has reopened.
A Glasgow road has been cordoned off by police due to an ongoing incident.
Edinburgh Road is currently closed Westbound from Springboig Road to Carntyne Road.
Emergency services are at the scene and drivers should approach the area with caution and follow police instructions.
Diversions are as follows: Springboig Road, Tynecastle Street, Carntyne Road, Edinburgh Road

The nature of the incident is not known at this time but Police Scotland has been approached for comment.
