A major retailer is set to close down one of its stores in a popular shopping centre near Glasgow.
New Look has announced their shop in The Centre Cumbernauld will be shutting on Wednesday, March 20.
It comes after locals took to social media to share their sadness of the closure.
One said: "Sad day."
Another said: "This is terrible. For me, it's the best shop in the town centre and the prices make it accessible to treat yourself now and then.
"So saddened by this."
A third chimed: "Very sorry to hear this.
"Hope all the staff manage to get something else soon. Gutted."
Following the closure, punters of the store will still be able to visit the company's Glasgow shops situated on Buchanan Street at the Glasgow Fort.
A spokesperson for New Look said: “Our store in Cumbernauld is closing on the 20th March.
"We would like to thank all of our colleagues and the local community for their support over the years.
"We hope customers continue to shop with us at both our Glasgow stores situated in Buchanan Street and The Fort Shopping Centre, whilst our full product ranges can also be found at newlook.com.”
