Plans have been submitted to Renfrewshire Council to change a ground floor office into a small café/restaurant.
The vacant premises at unit A, Neva Place, Main Street in Bridge of Weir used to be home to estate agents Allen & Harris.
The café/restaurant would have a total floor area of 50m² of which 32m² would be dedicated to the public seating area.
The rest of the space would be used for the kitchen, counter, storage and toilet facilities.
A restricted menu would be served, with some food being prepared off site.
According to the planning statement, a typical menu would include breakfast items, filled rolls, baked potatoes, soups, sandwiches, toasties, baguettes, teas, coffees, hot chocolate, cold drinks and homemade cakes and traybakes.
Some items including filled rolls, baguettes, coffees, teas and sweets, would be sold over the counter but the establishment would not be designated as a hot food takeaway.
The plans which were submitted and validated this month are still awaiting decision.
